MAYFLIES
I was asked by Grid Iron Theatre to come up with an image for the fist ever production of Andrew O'Hagan's novel Mayflies. This novel tells the tale of 80s youth and facing mortality in middle age is a joyous and heart-breaking elegy to the young people we still carry within us. The brief was to capture the music, culture and feeling of the time tht could be a touchstone for someone in the future so I came up with the idea of a cassette tape, it was an object that spoke of making compilations and the music transporting you back in time, but also to have a foreboding of the main theme of the story (no spoilers)
AC 20
I was asked by the Arctic Circle team to come up with an illustration to mark their 20 year anniversary. I have done vector images previously, created papercut illustrations and felt an ink drawing would be something new while still linking back to the heritage of the Arctic Circle. I used Adobe Firefly to create a quick animation.

The project was carried out over 6 weeks on-line with one meeting a week culminating in the launch of the campaign.
